RMICC Voting Board Welcomes: Joel Smith

01/22/19 (Denver, CO) - Join RMICC in welcoming new Voting Board Member, Joel Smith, member of Caddo Nation and Sr VP/Chief Credit Officer of Native American Bank.  

Joel Smith has served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Native American Bank since 2013. He is an enrolled member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma. He has over fifteen years of experience in commercial credit, lending, and management. Joel worked as a credit officer and credit examiner at CoBank, a $100 Billion farm credit institution, for the five years immediately prior to rejoining NAB. Joel also spent four years working at NAB in credit and as an AVP of Business Development ending in 2008. He holds a M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver, and a dual B.B.A in Finance and Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. Joel also is an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, and holds a RMA Credit Risk Certification designation.



In addition to serving on the board of the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of

Commerce, Joel also currently serves on the board of directors for the Denver Indian
Center, a non-profit devoted to serving Denver’s Native population. He has also
previously served as Board President for Hasinai Gaming Enterprises, an economic
development enterprise of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma.
