The Senate is currently working to finalize the third minibus appropriation bill, H.R. 6157, legislation that combines fiscal 2019 spending measures for defense, labor, health & human services, and education. The bill includes $1.5 billion to combat the opioid epidemic by providing treatment, prevention, and recovery programs which will be accessible through State Opioid Response Grants.
