Kids begin life as profound human beings. If they can continue to trust the world, empathize with others, give unconditional positive regard, and be able to say what they think and feel in a clear straight way, they can come to know themselves, to have high self-esteem, be more resilient and to cope with most problems. They can grow into adults who live more profoundly.
The workshops are structured to develop the recognition, expression and support of Trust, Empathy, Unconditional Positive Regard, Congruency, Creativity, and Awareness of Nature. The enhancement of these six characteristics results in a wider range of choices and higher self confidence.
Barbara Williams and Heather Williams are on the staff of IACP (Instituto Dell’Approccio Centrato Sulla Persona) and the PCA (Person Centered Approach Institute of France) The Kids’ Workshop resonats with children from many different cultures. She has presented the workshop to children of the Navajo Nation and to children from many different countries (Italy, France, Gypsy children, refugee children from Central and South America, Iran, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Africa, Russia, Poland and China)..
The Kids' Workshop is for children ages 3 to 12 and it is presented through fun activities that support the recognition and expression of trust, empathy, unconditional positive regard, being able to say what they think and feel in a clear straight way, ways to express and keep their creativity as they grow, and to appreciate nature.
The workshop is flexible and can fit into different time frames. Most often it is presented through 6 sessions of one and a half hours with up to 12 children.
“I cannot believe the power in the Kids’ Workshop of how good it makes you feel to be yourself and the feeling seems to last a life time.” Nathan age 10
