Grand Canyon Trust Position Opening for a Native American Program Associate
The Native America Program associate is responsible for helping to plan and provide logistical support for various aspects of the Grand Canyon Trust's Native America Program, with an emphasis on two priority projects: the defense of Bears Ears National Monument and the Native American Business Incubator Network (NABIN).
This is a dynamic position with a primary focus on operations and logistics. However, the selected candidate will be an integral and critical part of this visionary work, and will serve as an equal thought leader alongside three primary colleagues within the Grand Canyon Trust.
The association will assist staff with maintaining positive relationships with tribes and tribal members with the end goal of defending permanent landscape protection for the Bears Ears region of southeastern Utah (approximately 75 percent of time), and advancing the work of the Native American Business Incubator Network by providing back-end support to the director and program manager (approximately 25 percent of time).
